The 2024 season of the Filarmonica della Scala has been presented at the Scala Theater on Friday September, 15th, 2023 with the presence of the Principal Conductor Riccardo Chailly and the the Major of Milano Giuseppe Sala.
The new season will be inaugurated on Monday 15 January 2024 by Riccardo Chailly with an all-French program scheduled at the Teatro alla Scala and organized with the support of the Main Partner UniCredit.

Some highlights of the presentation to the press:
- Space for new talents in addition to established artists. For example the Finnish Tarmo Peltokoski on the podium this year: at just twenty-three years old, already musical director of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and principal conductor of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, as well as permanent guest conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic.
- Internationality of music and artists. In line with the impressive growth of the internationality of the city of Milano that is experiencing a record year for international tourists (+33% in July, waiting for data of August)
- Closeness of the Orchestra to the city. Although the Orchestra Filarmonica is very requested also outside Milano and many concerts are scheduled already all around Italy and Europe, “La Scala in Città” initiatives for example are offering shows around the city and in the nine municipalities of Milan since few years already.
- Digitalization of the historical shows of the Orchestra. “La Scala TV” will expand the re-editing and the upload of shows of many decades.
